Jan 16 Blues Jam Special Guest - KAYE BOHLER !

Kaye Bohler’s music takes you to the “Stax” Soul and Blues sound of the late 1960’s and 70’s with a contemporary twist. Multi-platinum, Grammy award winning producer, Pete Anderson has just finished mixing Kaye’s Latest Cd entitled “Handle the Curves,” scheduled for a March 2014 release. Kaye is affectionately called the white Tina Turner by her fans for the dynamic, powerhouse performances she produces.  Coupled with her golden toned voice she delivers a riveting show, missed with soul Classics, a Memphis Horn sound and straight ahead Chicago Blues.

Kaye Bohler cut her teeth in the music industry in the very competitive Los Angeles area over 30 years ago. In the late 1980’s she found The Blues, and in her own words, “she came home.” She describes blues as the cornerstone foundation of all that she delivers on stage, and with all the songs that she writes. “The blues authenticated me and has made me dig deeper than any other genre I’ve ever studied or performed.”

The last 10 years of Kaye’s career have seen her blossom as a songwriter. She reached critical acclaim with her last CD entitled Like a Flower, featuring Robben Ford and Tommy Castro. It was named one of the best CD’s of 2011 from Downbeat magazine, and reached #6 in R&B Charts on BB Kings Bluesville Sirius XM Radio. Her new CD, complete with 10 new original tunes, stands to catapult her career even farther.
